Award Stats is your go to place for all award stats and trivia. Whether it’s the Oscars, Golden Globes, guild awards or critic’s prizes, Award Stats will be the place to find everything from simple to obscure trivia and statistics.
The site just launched in the fall of 2021 and we are still building the site, so more statistics and trivia will be added continuously. It is the ambition to cover all Oscar categories, all major American film awards and guild awards. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to get the latest updates.
What can I find on Award Stats?
There are three major categories on Award Stats: Oscars, Major Awards and Connections.
Oscars is the main focus and the category contains stats and trivia on a number of Oscar categories as well as some overall stats and trivia. Scroll through these using the drop down bar at the top. This category will be expanded to cover all Oscar categories, and more trivia will be added under each category. Some categories like writing and music has been combined as many of the nominees overlap.
We also compile stat and trivia on other major awards. Right now Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) are covered, but this will soon be expanded to also cover Critic’s Choice, Directors Guild Awards, Producers Guild Awards, etc.
Connections covers the connection between major awards and the Oscars. This is where you go to see which Best Picture Oscar winners did not win a Best Picture award at the Golden Globes, or which Best Actress winners did not win a SAG Award for the same part. It can also be the place to find out which years all the Best Director Oscar nominees were the same as the Directors Guild Awards nominees. This section will of course also be expanded.

Who is behind Award Stats?
Award Stats is started by me, Lars B. Frahm. I have followed the American Award Season for over 20 years and have gathered and created a lot of statistics and trivia along the way. In stead of all that information lying around on a hard drive, I decided to share it with whoever will find it interesting.
